As the Director of the Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management (SJHIFM), it gives me immense pleasure to share that Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management (SJHIFM) is a centre of excellence for capacity building of departments in the field of Public Financial Management and Public Policies. SJHIFM was set up in 2016 as a registered society under Planning Department, Government of Haryana. SJHIFM has utilized every opportunity to innovate and offer a unique perspective to all of our initiatives like Output-Outcome Framework Report at State and District level, SDG Budget Alignment Report, Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana (MMPSY). The Institute supports all the departments & stakeholders in mainstreaming ‘Monitoring and Evaluation’ system of the state schemes and outlays based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as well as upgrading the capacities through structured seminars/workshops and research programmes.
SJHIFM is facilitating the process from the very first stage to implement Output-Outcome Framework for an open, transparent and citizen centric governance rather than just accounting for welfare expenditure. It has been our endeavor to share information about the Institute and provide a platform for learning and sharing experiences in the field of Public Policy and Financial Management. Based on the foundation of our core values we will continue to scale up to build a fiscal institute of international repute. The Institute plans to undertake various consultancy projects and sponsored case Studies for various Departments of State Government, Societies/Boards/Corporations. The institute is also envisaging to facilitate training need analysis of various organizations, design projects and case studies, develop reading materials, implement, and finally evaluate the impact of training for better performance of SDGs and improve Service delivery. The Institute aims to play an indispensable role in fiscal management landscape of the State.
